Friends for Youth received more recognition in our efforts to bring much needed awareness to the San Francisco Bay Area about the shortage of mentors for youth in our community.

It’s no secret that children and adolescents with mentors are less likely to engage in illegal and dangerous behavior. Buzz keeps building about the benefits of mentoring a youth, and the benefits are not just felt from the mentee.

The mentor's in our program have told us numerous times that their involvement in our program brought about positive changes in their personal lives and impacted them in ways they never though possible. The friendships they've nurtured has brought great joy and have been a spiritually satisfying experience to all involved.

We are so proud of our mentors and want to thank them for their continued support. Please keep talking to your friends, family and peers about the benefits of mentoring a youth in your community! Spreading the word is key to keeping community based programs like ours thriving!
